About the society

The Bristol Real Ale society is a University of Bristol Students' Union society which is dedicated to promoting real ale and other fine drinks. We organise social events such as pub trips, brewery tours, beer tastings and our award winning beer festivals.

Membership of the society costs £3.50 and gets you a discount card for use in a number of pubs in Bristol so that you can get great tasting drinks at very reasonable prices. You also get discounted entry to our beer festivals and the opportunity to come to our subsidised brewery tours which are always fantastic value.The society is led by a committee elected by its members. Committee members are responsible for organising all our fine events. The committee for 2010/11 is:
